An HVAC Engineer with 4-5 years' experience designing heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems for Oil & Gas, industrial, commercial and modular building projects. The role spans heat load calculations, ventilation and pressurization design, equipment sizing and selection, and the full documentation set — layouts, specifications, schedules, MTOs and BOQs — through to vendor document review and commissioning support. Preference is given to candidates with Oil & Gas or EPC project experience.
What you'll do
- Design HVAC systems for Oil & Gas, industrial, commercial and modular building projects.
- Perform heat load calculations using HAP or equivalent software.
- Design ventilation, air conditioning, pressurization, smoke extraction and exhaust systems.
- Size and select HVAC equipment including AHUs, FAHUs, FCUs, chillers, pumps, fans and package units.
- Prepare HVAC layouts, ducting, chilled water piping and refrigerant piping drawings.
- Perform duct sizing, pressure loss calculations, pump head calculations and airflow balancing.
- Prepare technical specifications, equipment schedules, MTOs, BOQs and technical reports.
- Review vendor documents, technical submittals and equipment datasheets.
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, architectural and process disciplines.
- Ensure designs comply with project specifications, client requirements and international standards.
- Support site engineering, commissioning and technical queries as required.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 4-5 years of HVAC engineering experience.
- HVAC load calculations in HAP or equivalent, plus duct design and pressure loss calculations.
- Chilled water, ventilation and pressurization system design; equipment selection and sizing.
- Preparation of technical specifications and MTOs.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory) and Microsoft Office.
- Good understanding of HVAC design principles, applicable codes and international engineering practice.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and coordination skills, with the ability to run multiple projects to deadline both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
Nice to have
- Oil & Gas or EPC project experience (preferred).
- Revit MEP.
